PCP, known by a variety of names including phencyclidine and angel dust, is a synthetic drug which was originally produced as an anesthetic. Its medical use was suspended after doctors noticed that it carries the potential for dangerous side effects, but it has been broadly used as a street drug since the 1960's. It is generally available as a powder which is snorted, though a liquid solution may be used to lace cigarettes or marijuana. Whether you have been arrested by local law enforcement or a federal agency such as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), you will likely be charged with a felony, with sentences starting at a minimum of one year in prison.
